Grandma didn't get to hold him the night he was born. Mom and baby were bonding. I was back at the hospital to hold him early (very early) the next morning to get my baby hugs and kisses. What a feeling of joy.
Here is a picture of Jak last week. He is snoozing at grandma's house waiting for his mom to come in from work and feed him his lunch before she is off to class for the afternoon. He looks just like his dad did at that age. It is like time has been turned back.
I now know that feeling of love that a grandmother feels. Everyone kept telling me it was like no other feeling. I agree wholeheartedly.
I started this post early this morning and it is now almost midnight. It is amazing how much time is spent caring for a baby and three little hounds. After Jak leaves the dogs are all over me begging for attention. I do not have time to squander for sure. I am trying to budget my time but I am not that way by nature...lol! I need to budget in some time for stitching and quilting. DH has been ignored terribly. He will survive I am sure. He is so enamored by Jak that he hasn't complained. Being a grandpa has certainly had a positive affect on him. LOL!
Thanks for stopping by. I hope you enjoyed the photos. Have a good Thursday!
Happy quilting! Karen
